About BRADSIMSCPT

My Mission

I'm Brad Sims, your Certified Personal Trainer, and my mission is to empower individuals to achieve optimal health and wellness through fitness and lifestyle changes.  I provide a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable and motivated to reach their goals.  My clients range in age from 16 to 81.  I train some once a week and some as many as 3 days a week.  I want them to feel confident in a gym setting and make it a point to create self-sufficiency among my clients.

The Mission: Safe, but Progressive Adaptation

I spent my first five years as a Physical Therapy aide with Dr. Jared Cooper in Madison, NJ (The Moment Institute), and was certified as a Personal Trainer in 2012.  Since that time I have earned several more certifications including Osteoporosis Training, Nutrition, Corrective Exercise, Mental Toughness, Performance Enhancement and Spartan Group Exercise. I have run over 60 obstacle races in a 9 year span, including the grueling 32-mile Spartan Ultra Beast.  Combine all this with weightlifting beginning at age 14, I now have over 34 years of exercise experience and over 13 years as a certified fitness professional who prides himself on making sure I can offer my clients the latest research and trends in the industry, so they can receive the best possible care.


My Services

I offer a variety of services, including:

One-on-one personal training, 

Obstacle race coaching, 

Stretching (on a massage table) 

Nutrition counseling.  

Program design.

I am excellent at helping beginners, intermediate and elite athletes. I cater to your special needs so feel free to tell me what you're looking for.  I will work with you to create a program that fits your goals, and schedule.


2 Facilities

I operate out of 2 professional studios: Latorre Fitness in Whippany, NJ, as well as Nitroflex Fitness in Chester, NJ.  Come in and see the spaces for yourself!  I also do free initial consultations for new clients to see how we interact and to discuss your goals and cater to any injuries or past surgeries that might be hindering you up to this point.  Everything I do is customized to you!

Fees

HOME TRAINING

120 each.  100 each (10 pack).  90 each (20 pack).  Limited to these NJ towns:  Mendham, Randolph, Bernardsville, Chester, Ralston, Brookside, Ironia, Morristown.

Valid at my Nitroflex location in Chester, NJ, or my Latorre Fitness location in Whippany, NJ.

VIRTUAL TRAINING

Receive 1-on-1 training with me remotely in your own home, with just a phone, tablet or laptop.

60 each.  55 each (10 pack).  50 each (20 pack).

NUTRITION CONSULTATION

Sit and talk with me remotely about calorie awareness, portion control, tips and tricks for eating effectively for your goals and staying hydrated.  We will set daily and weekly goals and re-assess.  1 month support for $120.

PROGRAM DESIGN

If you have access to your own gym or equipment and just want a plan to follow so you don't have to design your routine yourself, I offer my professional help.  We will discuss your exercise goals, and consider any surgeries, medications or painful movements that might hinder you.  Includes a free movement screen.  $150 a month.

IN-PERSON STRETCHING SESSION

I perform a 1 hour stretch session on a comfortable massage table.  I start at your feet and work all the way to your head and shoulders.  All stretches are based on physical therapy movement tests.  $60 if done in one of my studios.  $90 if I travel to you.
